Little Rascals believe working with parents is of paramount importance to children’s learning and development. We take pride in the excellent relationships we have with parents and the collaborative approach we promote.

Parent Partnership

At Little Rascals we recognise the parent as the child’s first educator, parents know their child best, we value this and will work in partnership with the parent to ensure we have all the current and relevant information to settle your child and build on their learning and development, achieving the best outcomes. We communicate effectively with parents, involving them in their child's learning and development journey.

Parents Evenings

Little Rascals host annual parents evenings where parents and carers are invited into nursery to meet with their child's key worker, discuss their child's progress and view their online developmental journal. Parents evening is also an opportunity for parents to get to know each other.

Towards the end of each term, key workers will also complete an assessment. Informing parents of their child's developmental achievements in that term and their next steps moving forward. Key workers also use this as an opportunity to offer any advise and support to parents and to update their key child's likes and interests from home.

Parent Communication

Little Rascals use the number 1 nursery software system called Famly. Famly provides all parents / carers with live updates throughout your child's day. Here you will be able to view photos and videos of your child, development updates, personal care records, food diaries, communicate with staff and view all the exciting activities your child takes part in during the day. Parental Involvement and events

Little Rascals have excellent relationships with parents and carers. We like to involve parents and families in nursery life as much as possible. We have regular events throughout the year where we invite families into nursery.
